Simon Peddie is an experienced, talented , strong footballer who has played at a top level in the Football league. Simon has played for many clubs that include Enfield F.C, Leyton F.C, Cheshunt, Redbridge, East Thurrock and Tibury before signing for Hashtag United. The Tags after winning the League title after 1 season was sure going to need an experience player from the leagues above and that’s what they have found in Simon.
Simon is a versatile player in the defensive areas , being able to put a shift in anywhere across the back line which is a great asset to have especially when injuries come into place. Peddie is like a machine , a rock at the back and actually quite a quick defender and does very well at keeping full focus in any game he’s in. Peddie describes to me that life at Hashtag is very different to any club he’s been to , being on camera at training and at matches filming there game play for the public to watch is very hard to get used to but exiting in other ways. Peddie has also had a small spell playing Internationally for his home nation “Montserrat” a Caribbean ireland overseas. This is clearly why Hashtag picked up such an experienced player to move them up the ranks in the Football pyramid. Peddies’s career highlights also include reaching the first round of the FA Cup twice for East Thurrock which is an extraordinarily achievement for someone who doesn’t play professionally.
